Saizeriya is a popular Japanese family restaurant chain known for its affordable Italian-inspired menu and cult-favourite side dishes. One of its most beloved appetisers is its signature spicy chicken wings.
Crispy, juicy, and packed with savoury garlic flavour, these Saizeriya-style spicy chicken wings are inspired by the popular appetiser served at the beloved Japanese family restaurant chain. Despite the name, they're not particularly spicy – instead, they strike the perfect balance of sweetness, garlic, paprika, and umami.
The best part? They're incredibly easy to make at home with pantry ingredients and require minimal preparation. Whether you're serving them as a snack, party food, or alongside your favourite rice dishes, these wings disappear fast.

Marinate Overnight for the Best Flavour: While one hour will work, marinating the wings overnight allows the garlic, paprika, and seasoning to fully penetrate the meat, giving you a much deeper flavour.
Don't Skip the Final Dusting: A light sprinkle of paprika and chilli powder after baking helps recreate the signature orange-red appearance and adds an extra layer of flavour.
Keep the Spice Level Mild: These wings are meant to be savoury rather than fiery. Resist the temptation to add extra chilli powder if you're aiming for an authentic Saizeriya-style result. |

Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To reheat, bake at 180°C for 8–10 minutes or air fry until heated through and crispy again.
Tips ⭐️
White pepper provides a cleaner flavour than black pepper and is closer to the restaurant version.
MSG is optional, but it helps recreate the savoury restaurant-style taste.
The 210°C method is our preferred way to cook these wings. The higher heat creates crispier skin and a richer colour, making them look much closer to Saizeriya's famous Karami Chicken.
For extra crispy skin, place the wings on a wire rack while baking to allow hot air to circulate around them.
